OUR STORY

Picture
Co-owners Jason and Traci Darrow bought a small property in April 2018 and built their new home around the idea of "Slainte," a toast to your good health.

Married in Dublin, Ireland, under a full moon on Valentine's Day 2014, the couple often found themselves enjoying the boutique vineyards and tasting rooms springing up around the Rogue Valley. Realizing the potential to produce great wine here, purchasing a property with an established vineyard seemed a perfect fit.

By fall 2018, the first harvest was bottled and previously untended grounds became a productive vineyard. Named for strength in family history, Tapestry Vineyard wine captures the joy of gathering together and rejoicing in each day.

Tapestry Vineyard is well tended year round using only organic practices and consistently checked for quality at each phase of the growing process.

"Tapestry Vineyard, for us, is the realization of a dream and the culmination of dedicated work. We saw the potential in this space and brought it to life. The process of learning we underwent caring for the vines throughout the year, working beside family and friends, became just as important as the outcome; the wine."

TRACI DARROW

OUR NAME

In the late 1800s, Traci's great-grandmother brought a family tapestry with her from then-named Bohemia through Ellis Island. For years, it hung on the walls of the old hotel in Scio, Oregon and now adorns Traci's own home as a graceful reminder of her lineage. The journey of coming to a place to start anew is woven into our family story; who we were and who we are becoming.  The threads crossed at the right time in our lives as our family grew, strengthened and changed, to embark on our own journey with this vineyard at the core.
